Gate 44 produced Buoys, an artist’s book by Mary Crenshaw, in a limited leporello edition of 50 copies. Each is screen printed and features eyelets and shoestrings, along with poems by Emma Roper-Evans alias Edre. The covers, illustrating a hand and a foot, were screen-printed in three layers on the front and one solid color on the reverse, then flatbed-cut. The interior is a 70×100 cm screen-printed monotype, sized to fit the book. Each book is unique, distinguished by its cover color combination and internal mono-print.
